My feed is already bombarded with occasion wear dipped in sequins, mirrors, crystals and jewel tones. It’s been a while since I’ve treated my eyes to refined occasion wear. Something that instantly skips a heartbeat and makes you want to dig similar looks. That’s when Priyanka Chopra Jonas made her recent appearance in Varanasi, dropping her flawless, goddess-like, all-white lehenga look.

Her Anamika Khanna lehenga saree seems to have had a lot of thought put into it. Her style is concentrated on techniques and not the theatrics. Styled by Ami Patel, the nine yards of sheer sophistication is based on rich threadwork embroidery on its borders, which usually starts thinning as it ascends.

The exquisite fine gold detailing on the border lends a distinctive edge to the pallu when pinned with perfection. The scalloped edging adds a regal finish, offering a seamless mix of vintage elegance and modern style. Speaking the same language of craftsmanship is her saree blouse featuring short sleeves and subtle embroidery. Its sculpted sweetheart, I believe, was made to highlight her statement choker. Adding a unique spin-off was a South Indian-style dupatta drape

What gives a soft and delicate touch to her face is her hair, which is carefully parted from centre for a low updo. Her makeup stays warm and one-of-a-kind, comprising shimmery shadow, defined eyes, a dab of shine on the lids, diffused wings and rosy cheeks, all of which perfectly aligns with the tone of her saree.

Priyanka’s jewellery is what ties her look together and elevates it. It adds depth to her look and sets is apart from any usual white saree look. A layered kundan and pearl choker is the hero of the look. It is complemented with earrings, a round and dramatic maang tikka and stacks of kadas punctuated with a retro kamar patta.
More of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ All-White Indian Ethnic Look
If I ever get a chance to steal a glance of any celebrity’s wardrobe, it has to be Priyanka Chopra. Why? Her closet is an ode to Indian craftsmanship. She is always blessing our timeline with her ethnic masterpieces, reflecting her love for cultural heritage.
On her third wedding reception with Nick Jonas in Mumbai, Priyanka made headlines in Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla separates. Showcasing ultra-feminine flower detailing in bulging beads and crystals, the outfit worked amazingly well against Priyanka’s skin tone. Her full sleeve embroidered blouse embellished with sequins and crystals is what finished her look, making her the star of the show, like always.

For one of her Diwali celebrations, she chose Falguni Shane Peacock bridal lehenga, showcasing the designer’s penchant for undeniable extravaganza and theatrical embellishments. The lehenga was replete with white embroidery detailing against a champagne tone punctuated with architectural motifs on the panel of her skirt.

In another Diwali appearance, Priyanka leaned towards a georgette printed lehenga, leaving us all swooning over her Insta post. Her ruffled-border, lightweight lehenga look paired with a mirror-detailed blouse and a matching dupatta is what defines minimalist festive wear .

Everything about our ‘desi girl’s’ devi aesthetic has all our hearts. To channel a similar look to hers, pick a similar ivory saree from our designer shelves. You could do with a white lehenga too. Adorn your braid with braid pins or baby breath. Finish off your look with a big maang tikka, kamarbandh and a festive-friendly potli bag.
